TESTIMONIALS

We highly recommend All Angles Renovations. Ken and Kelly are amazing to deal with and super responsive and professional. We had previously used them for our main floor (including kitchen) renovation. We were so pleased with their work and experience we had them come back and Reno our basement and exterior of the house. It's been a few years since the basement Reno and we continue to be thrilled and amazed with the quality of workmanship and how the space works so well for our family.

All Angles supported us through the planning and design stage right to completion of the project. Our basement was a total gut including removing a brick fireplace. All Angles helped us decide on layout, proper insulation for the flooring and walls, new windows, addition of a bathroom and prep for a kitchen to be added down the line.

Ken has a hyper attention to detail and takes pride in his work (even the elements which are hidden by the finishes but are just as critical). Ken consistently communicated on progress and ensured we knew what decisions we had to make well before they were needed. If you want your renovation done right I strongly recommend All Angles Renovations.

We feel very happy to have worked with All Angles to complete our home renovation project. After a disastrous experience with another contractor, we were lucky to have All Angles step in to fix the many deficiencies and issues in our project. Once All Angles was on the job, we finally had the opportunity to say things such as “ that looks great” or “that is exactly how we wanted it”. All Angles definitely includes you as a partner in the work and rely on you to share what it is you are looking for. They confidently problem solve difficult situations and always came up with efficient work-arounds to pricey corrections that were needed for work done by the first contractor as well creative options to any new obstacles. They really do focus on your job. Overall, we definitely recommend All Angles as a quality contractor to work with. We would absolutely work with them again.

Ken and Kelly are quite simply the best renovation team we have ever worked with. We cannot recommend them highly enough, in all aspects of their business, from the quality of work to their responsiveness, flexibility, dedication, value for money and creative problem-solving. They worked on a basement renovation for us that involved a benching and a complete re-do of the space, including new insulation, new walls and the introduction of a shower, sink and toilet. This all was taking place during the craziness of Covid! Ken's work is exceptional - he really treats everything with the utmost care, precision, expertise and attention to the slightest detail. It feels like he's treating everything as if it were his own house. He took care of all the other trades, keeping them to the same high standards that he applies to his own work. He was also a pleasure to have around -unfailingly patient, good humoured and good company. Kelly is always very efficient, very responsive and also a pleasure to deal with.
Quite honestly, we never want to work with anyone else ever again!

I almost felt like deliberately under-rating All Angles because I want them to be available for any other renovation work I might require, and not to be tied up with other work, but that would be selfish of me and totally unfair to Ken, Kelly and the truly wonderful team at All Angles Renovations. The five stars are so richly merited. If there was a 10 rating, I would give this company a 10.

All Angles was the second firm I hired and in tracking them down, I did my homework and thoroughly investigated them before contracting them to do the work. The difference between the first contractor and All Angles was night and day. Wow. Having experienced the headaches associated with a horrible contractor, it was great to be able to benefit from an exceptional one.

The work was performed to an extremely high standard, met the detailed cost estimate that I received, and the work was completed on time. It doesn't get better than that.

The house was renovated from top to bottom. The work included digging out the basement to lower the floor, pouring a new concrete slab, re-doing the plumbing and wiring, re-insulating and adding fiber cement siding, building a new deck, building a new five-piece bath, building a TV room ,etc.

Ken was very collaborative throughout the process and didn't mind the frequent changes in direction or additional requests from an owner who wasn't sure at the outset about the work he wanted done. The sub trades he uses -- from electricians to painters -- were also utterly professional, and equally at the top of their game. It was a pleasure having them in the house those many weeks.

A word of caution -- if you're trying to do your project using shoddy materials or without getting the necessary permitting, you might want to engage some of the shady outfits out there and not use All Angles, because they do everything by the book, with all work completely up to code. As a homeowner, the attention to detail and the level of thoroughness from Ken and team provided huge piece of mind.

A realtor friend popped by after the renovation and told me that while she realized the house could be improved, she never, ever envisioned it looking as good as it did. The results were stunning.

All Angles Renovations is an exceptional firm and you will absolutely not go wrong in choosing them. Good luck with your renovation project.

We had an excellent experience working with Ken and Kelly at All Angles Renovations this year on our home renovation. From our initial contact, we were impressed with Ken and Kelly. We had already spoken to a few other renovation companies before getting in touch with AARL. We appreciated that they responded in a timely manner, set up meetings and came when they said they would come, provided a detailed quote (7 pages of small print) within a reasonable amount of time and were prepared to review it when they said they would. They started as promised and were able to finish ahead of schedule even with a few surprises and delays that came up. AARL and their employees, along with the subcontractors, all did great work and they were friendly and helpful. Our renovation was finished ahead of schedule and completed with excellent attention to detail. They understood what we wanted to achieve with our renovation and helped us to complete the project with those goals in mind. They worked well with the architect and the kitchen cabinetry company (whom we selected independently) and in some cases solved problems directly with them when our involvement wasn’t needed. We would not hesitate to contact them first for any future renovation plans of our own and have already recommended them to friends and neighbours who are considering their own renovation projects.

In six months, Ken and Kelly George of All Angles Renovations took our damp, musty, yucky unfinished basement and turned it into a beautiful, finished and functional space with polished concrete floors that includes a custom sound mixing studio, a three piece bathroom with a utility sink and walk in shower, a completely reorganized mechanical room, a sump pump, rebuilt stairs, a laundry area and a flex space that can be used as a guest room or for storage.
Prior to deciding to finish our basement we had hired All Angles to do a number of smaller jobs around our house, a closet update, a bay window rebuild and some work on a skylight. The bay window rebuild, in particular, is evidence that Ken does exacting work that stands the test of time. Indeed, when we had our first energy audit on the house before the basement reno, the bay window and skylight proved to be the tightest, least leaky areas in the house. So – for us, deciding to go with All Angles for our big renovation was a no brainer. Our reno involved digging down to level the foundation, benching, insulating, pouring and then polishing a new concrete slab, redoing the electrical, plumbing and gas, insulating, framing and dry-walling the walls. As with all old houses there were some logistical design conundrums that Ken solved beautifully – these included, designing a new stairwell, configuring the layout of the laundry area and figuring out how to install the studio door in the very narrow opening available.
Every step of the work that was done prior to and after the framing was meticulously done by Ken and by the trades he hired – all of whom were very professional and who cleaned up the site at the end of each work day.
Before even starting the job, Ken made sure that our front porch and access to the basement were protected and he and Kelly communicated with us about each stage of the job. In summary – here are some very good reasons to choose All Angles if you’re doing a major renovation:

We loved working with All Angles and we love our new basement!

We did an extensive renovation of our early 20th century semi-detached house in Riverdale. We hired All Angles because of work they’d previously done for our next door neighbours. This allowed us a chance to see the work both at completion and several years after. The company is exceptionally professional and do excellent work. It would be an understatement to say we were pleased with the quality of workand level of communication. I would recommend All Angles without hesitation.

Without a doubt, All Angles Renovations is my go-to contractor, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Even other tradespeople they have made referrals for have been outstanding.

Our Leslieville home was purchased from flippers, who I later discovered spared no opportunity to cut corners, particularly in the finished-for-flip basement. Years after purchasing the home, problems with moisture became apparent in the basement, and what began as a supposed-to-be-simple interior waterproofing job from a company I hired directly spiralled out of control as I just kept discovering problems, requiring more and more trades, until I relented and hired All Angles.

Ken's professional, friendly demeanour and eye for detail were immediately apparent at our first meeting to discuss the scope of work and assembling a quote. I originally came upon the team from an external reference, and all of the provided references gave glowing reviews. Universally, all told me they either would or have hired All Angles again, that "you get what you pay for" and "they are worth waiting for" (they had a full construction calendar for a stretch). We agree on all counts. The price was higher than others and the wait longer, but honest-from-the-get-go / actually realistic instead of initially lowballing then escalating. Friends renovating at the same time with a different contractor told us many times of their own instances involving miscommunication, work done incorrectly, and subsequent problems -- we experienced none of that; everything ran remarkably smooth with the All Angles team, even in a 'challenging' basement where nothing had really been done properly in the last 50+ years.

What started as a finished basement subsequently had all finish stripped, plumbing above and below ground replaced -- and upon hiring All Angles (I wish I had earlier) had new household heating / cooling, expanded and tiled bathroom with shower, tiled floor, all other finishing touches restored along with some smart redesign work to conceal the sump pump and reroute ducts.

We plan to hire them for subsequent work.

I was looking to hire a reputable contractor to completely gut and overhaul the main floor of a 2 story, 80 year old detached house that I had just purchased. Given that this was my first house and my first experience hiring a contractor I was weary about hiring anyone. I did my research and finally, through a network of reputable builders (specifically Stephen Tobey from Gordon Tobey Developments), I got Ken George from All Angles Renovations.

As corny as it sounds, from the moment I spoke to Ken's wife (Kelly George), I knew i was dealing with the right people. Both Ken and Kelly were extremely professional from the very beginning. Kelly was very good at explaining how the whole process would go from beginning to end. Throughout the process she was extremely organized and diligent. They set up a timetable to give me a rough idea of when each smaller project was to be started, what decisions needed to be made by when and costs involved. Also, if I was having a hard time making a decision both Ken and Kelly were very helpful in showing me lots of choices and narrowing them down.

The scope of the work entailed completely gutting the main floor, which included tearing down ALL of the walls and opening up the entire space. Everything was stripped down to the bare bones of the house. New windows, insulation, electrical, flooring (slate and hardwood), state of the art HVAC system (duct work), lighting were installed. The kitchen was completely redesigned into a modern, open concept with a fully functional new island. Some completely new additions were a gas fireplace in the family room and new powder room (the main floor had no bathroom on it previously). The mudroom was taken off the back of the house and replaced with a beautiful new deck. Some additional work that Ken did was the old hardwood floors on the second floor were refinished to perfectly match the new hardwood floors on the main floor. Also, on the second floor a new master bedroom was created by joining 2 smaller bedrooms.

I have to admit that the estimate for the work and the timeframe was a little more than I had anticipated. However, I was assured that unless i made any major changes to my plan then the final total bill will be approximately the estimated amount. Throughout the renovations I actually did make some changes, but in the end everything added up (revised estimate + my changes = total). With the exception of some asbestos, which no one could know was there until the walls were torn down, there were no hidden costs. Also, whenever I wanted to change anything, Kelly would provide me with an estimate for the additional cost.

Unfortunately, it can't be put into words how much work, time and expertise that Ken and his crew put into the house. Every step of the renovation was explained to me. I found Ken to be EXTREMELY easy to communicate with; he's a wealth of knowledge, but wouldn't try and talk over my head. Ken actively listened to make sure my needs were being met. Ken's attention to detail is uncanny and it carries over into overseeing the other trades. All the work that was done was IMPECCABLE to say the least. For example, Ken came up with the idea to custom build a mantle, made up of the old Fir studs from the walls that were tore down, for over the fireplace. Needless to say I have received a lot of compliments on it.

One of the things that All Angles says on their website is, "We know that choosing a contractor to trust with your home is often a difficult and risky decision and unfortunately there are some in our line of business that have tainted the industry - we hope to quash that image and make All Angles a name that can be trusted and referred without hesitation." This philosophy was one of the tipping points in getting me to call them. After all was said and done, I can say that they delivered on that philosophy 110%.

I can honestly say that I absolutely love my house. All Angles was able to help me take my vision and make it a reality. Friends, family and aquaintances are floored by the transformation the house has undergone. Also, Ken and Kelly have immediately dealt with any minor problems or questions I have had since the renovations. It is very apparent that they are extremely customer service oriented. . . . not to mention, two of the nicest people. They are professional, reliable, trustworthy and deliver a high level of quality workmanship. I will definitely be going back to them in the future!!

The All Angles team transformed our 1920s semi with a multitude of old DIY sins beneath its walls into a fresh, contemporary living space and gorgeous chef's kitchen, rebuilt from scratch. Five things I especially liked about working with All Angles:

  1. Showed up and stayed: Always there when they said they'd be.
  2. Suggested locally sourced or eco products wherever possible.
  3. Realistic $ quote: anticipated potential issues with older homes.
  4. Attention to detail, from daily clean-up to finishing touches.
  5. Good communicators: easy to talk to, great problem-solvers.
I always thought my crooked old house had potential. All Angles Renovations fulfilled that vision, with great project management, bright ideas, fine craftsmanship, and customer service that is as good as it gets (a shout-out to Kelly!). I feel I made a good investment in my home with a team that stands by their work. The end product speaks for itself.

I hired All Angles to entirely re do the bathroom in my condo. They did a wonderful job! I am so happy with how it turned out. The service I received was excellent. They went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with every aspect of the bathroom.

- Deb in Sherwood Park

We hired All Angles in 2010 to renovate our kitchen and upgrade our windows. I have the pleasure to say their work is solid. Our kitchen still looks great and most importantly no problems have arisen. No leaks, no cracks, no bad surprises.

As a bonus Ken delivered more than I expected. One day he took me to the basement to explain that our joists lacked proper support. He had taken it upon himself to reinforce the area at no charge. It was quick and simple for him to do. It would have been very easy to not do anything, and I would never have known about the problem until it was to later.

Another day I pointed out water damage in the bedroom. He went outside, found the problem, and spent a half hour fixing the leak. Six years later I am happy to say there has not been any water coming in. (I paid for this - not everything is a gift).

Our bedroom sits over a main street with streetcars running 24 hours a day. Ken installed noise reducing windows for us. I didn't know they existed and am so thankful for them. Guests are always surprised how little noise comes in to the house.

- Perry in Riverdale

Ken & Eric were excellent (Kelly too!). They showed up when they said they would, they kept things tidy and they had attention to detail, which is very important to us. They brought our attention to deficiencies that we hadn't even noticed and arranged for them to be fixed. Two years after our renovation, they contacted us to make sure everything was still okay. I had a light switch that was not working correctly and they came to replace it, no charge. They are a little on the expensive side, but if you want trustworthy work, go with All Angles.

- Karen in Markham

We have hired them twice to fix projects that other contractors have done incorrectly. They are professional, easy to work with and do a VERY GOOD job. We have zero complaints and will never hire any other contractor again. They are really that good. They fixed a large, custom shed for us last year and are currently repairing a shower installation that was done incorrectly by the original contractor. They aren't the cheapest, but after doing about $500,000 worth of renovations in the last two years, I have learned to go with quality, not cheapest. You get exactly what you pay for. These guys are totally worth it.

- Laura Rey in Scarborough

Ken and Eric were a pleasure to work with on this project. As in any older home they uncovered surprises once they had started. There was great communication throughout the project, updates, discussion of alternatives, issues raised and resolved. They have an appreciation for older homes and pay attention to detail in both the quality and the appearance of their work. I lived downstairs throughout the project, and they sealed the construction off and cleaned up each day so there was virtually no dust. They started and finished when planned, and within budget, and left the space ready to move into. I would be very happy to work with them again in future.

- Eve in East York

I saw two guys working on a neighbour’s home. They showed up regularly, told me what they were going to do, and cleaned up their mess. Their completed work looked wonderful and the neighbour praised them highly. I was impressed as a number of my previous renos had been negative experiences. I've lived in the same 100 year-old house for 35 years, so when it was time to re-do my roof, I called Eric and Ken. I took my time getting back until a leak appeared on the interior of a room. I got back back to Eric and Ken in the fall. Before Christmas, the house had a brand new highly efficient roof (flat and shingle) and bay window. I have no hesitation in recommending All Angles. They did quality work, on time and even under the quoted price, due to some changes. If something was not right, they made it right. Their communication skills and interactions with their customers are superior.

- Manfred on the Danforth

Eric and Ken are great guys that genuinely want to help and do the best job they can. They were helpful in the planning and material selections phase prior to the start of the projects. In addition, their cost estimates were extremely accurate.  Ken and Eric helped us to rebuild a mudroom/ locker room for the children and relocate our laundry unit. They did such a great job that we asked them to repair our sunroof. Each project were done professionally and kept within the estimated budget. They were always available for questions. When we discovered a design and construction flaw in our master bedroom shower/steam bath room, we asked them to help. They re-built a beautiful shower/steam bath room for us. We have recommended them to our friends and family. Thank you Ken and Eric!

- Chris in Richmond Hill

We've had this company do many jobs large and small over the years. These guys are very dependable, clean up after each day, finish on time (the quote said 6-8 weeks and they were done in 7) are reasonably near the budget. They are polite, have great ideas and are committed to doing quality work. We won't even bother trying anyone else.

- Mark (jazzpiano) E. in The Beach

Honest and trustworthy.
Surpassed my expectations.
Showed up when they said they would and left the place clean at the end of each day. From the moment I met Ken & Eric I was impressed by their professionalism.
Keeping me informed at all times. Exceptional Customer Service.
Attention to detail was amazing. I would highly recommend them. I just can't express enough how good I felt about contracting them for the job. I have never before been so confident that I made the right decision. From the moment I met them it was "love at first sight". They were the right ones for the job. When the job was finished, I felt the same way.

- Sharon R. in Toronto

The guys from All Angles were terrific. They showed up when they said they would and when they left each day you would barely know they had been there. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. The closets were done beautifully and turned out exactly as we wanted them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend All Angles to anyone considering them.

- Kristen in the West End

Eric and Ken at All Angles Renovations were honest and trustworthy contractors who completed a complicated basement renovation, full plumbing overhaul and creation of a new bathroom. Work was done to a quality level that surpassed our expectations. They were flexible and open to changes that we wanted throughout the job. I would highly recommend them.

- Alison at Yonge & Eglinton

Our first project with All Angles Renovations was small, only about $500. We were totally impressed with their work ethics, skill and adherence to their quote. This recent renovation to our old 70's wood panel family room turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The team from All Angles are the type of people that you know you can entrust your home to even when you are away. They are totally professional in every way. They are also flexible when it comes to second thoughts and changes that come up on the fly. The dry walling turned out perfect. You can tell a good drywall job when you use a paint with a slight sheen finish, not a flaw can be seen! Once again the final price had no surprises and extra work was priced fairly. Can't wait for our next project. All Angles Renovations will get the call.

- David and Sandi in East York

From the first visit I could tell that Ken and Eric cared. The spotting details and making great suggestions others had not ... and I'm glad they did.
My project (total roof replacement) required good weather and summer 2008 was not the year for good weather ... but they never gave up ... always trying to get the job started. Once the job started they dealt well with the inevitable surprises you get on an older home ... keeping me informed at all times. The work was done to a very high standard and the followup has been fantastic. Highly recommended if you want a quality long lasting result.

- Antony in the Beach

I have had the pleasure of working with All Angles for a couple of years. They take pride in their work and always use the best products and methods available. They offer exceptional customer service and professional results.

- Jen in Riverdale

We gutted and renovated an old house in Don Mills. Ken and Eric were very professional, honest, and full of great ideas. The attention to detail was amazing. Everything was done as promised and then some. Any problem was dealt with right away at no extra cost to us. Highly recommended.
